DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce the upcoming regional Da Vinci Decathlon 2024 at Sunshine Coast Grammar School. \n  \nThe concept for is ‘Technology and Innovation’ for the regional event. The Da Vinci Decathlon is a celebration of critical thinking\, creativity\, and collaboration. Please save the date and consider joining us for the 2024 competition. \n  \nEvent Details: Regional da Vinci Decathlon  \nDa Vinci Regional website here \nDates: \n1st May (Years 5-7) \n2nd May (Years 8-11) \n  \nLocation: Sunshine Coast Grammar School \nTime: 8:00am – 3:30pm \n  \nWhat is the Da Vinci Decathlon? The Da Vinci Decathlon is an annual academic competition that challenges students to explore and demonstrate their knowledge and skills across ten disciplines: Art and Poetry\, English\, Science\, Mathematics\, Ideation\, Engineering\, Code Breaking\, Creative Producers\, Cartography\, and General Knowledge\, all framed within the 2024 overarching concept of ‘Technology and Innovation’. \n  \nFocus Areas: \nCritical Thinking: Participants are tasked with solving complex problems and engaging in analytical thinking\, emphasising the role of technology in modern problem-solving. \nCreativity: The competition encourages creative thinking and problem-solving in the context of technological advancements. \nCollaboration: The Da Vinci Decathlon is a team-based competition\, where groups of eight students work together or individually to solve questions\, design solutions and showcase ideas.
