Science and Engineering Challenge, 2021
Hosted at USC Stadium with the support of USC Students and Academics, this epic three-day event included students from across Sunshine Coast the region.
Each day they competed in a range of exciting Science and Engineering themed challenges with the Bridge testing Grand Finale!
Overall winners:
Day One: Pacific Lutheran College
Day Two: Matthew Flinders Anglican College
Day Three: Chancellor State College

National Science Week 2021
This activity was designed to celebrate this year’s National Science Week theme – “Food: Different by design”.
Over the course of 4 x 40-minute long lessons students will be introduced to this year’s theme, learn about the importance of maths modelling to solve real world problems and tackle a scenario around food consumption in Australia.

Maths Explains Our World (MEOW) program at USC
November 2021
Year 8 students are invited to USC’s MEOW Program. The focus of the program is to engage students into a series of hands-on and interactive afternoon workshops focusing on how maths explains our world (MEOW).
Innovative sessions are delivered by different USC academics from a variety of disciplines such as epidemiology, biomechanics, geography, engineering etc.

Maths Modelling Challenge 2021
Term 3, Week 3: Hosted online
Celebrating mathematics and the spirit of competition, this event aims to help high school students develop positive attitudes towards analytical thinking and mathematics that can assist in future careers.
This year the challenge was expanded to include year’s 7 – 12 with entries welcome from all teams across year levels.
