Because STEM was scary – it was like nothing I had ever done before. I found after playing with it a little that I had this passion for it, and the endless possibilities. It filled me with curiosity!

What do you like about being a MIE Lab presenter?

My favourite part is hearing that moment where students see what they have created – the pure, and genuine, excitement and self pride. I also love how students who feel as if they aren’t clever succeed and come out of their shells in ways they never imagined.
