Our Community Robotics Clubs are a 9 week program to give primary school students in Years 5 and/or 6 the fundamentals of building and coding robots, to compete at RoboRave competition on the Sunshine Coast. The program is held on Saturdays for 3 hours (9am to 12pm), will begin on Saturday 6 May 2023 (concluding on Saturday 22 July 2023) and costs just $150 per student. This is the total cost to participate in the 9 week program and includes access to Expert Presenters, robotics equipment, laptops, a Club T Shirt to wear to lessons and competition, and team entry to RoboRave.

At the conclusion of the program, teams will compete in the RoboRave competition.  In 2023 RoboRave will take place over two full days Saturday 15 July and Sunday 16 July 2023 at the UniSC Sunshine Coast Sports Stadium at Sippy Downs.

All students who register need to commit to attending all 9 weeks of the program (not held during school holidays) and competing in teams at the RoboRave competition

Priority is given to students who are without access to a robotics club at school and are selected by the MindSET-do team.

Robotics Club 2022 Highlights

In 2022, we expanded our Community Robotics Clubs to Sippy Downs, Moreton Bay and Fraser Coast regions.

Our teams competed in RoboRave on the Sunshine Coast. One team from Moreton Bay Jannik & Faye, won High School HS Line Follow with a bot built and coded by them called “Hi”. While another pair of Ian & Nate narrowly came second in Elementary School ES Line Follow with their bot “Gas Gas Gas”.

Thank you to all volunteers who made this event happen!
Also a big thanks to Out Of The BOTS for their valuable work.

RoboRave 2021 Highlights

In 2021, our School Robotics Club had 22 students compete at the 2021 RoboRave competition at USC stadium on Sunday 30th May.
