Q: Name of the program you are enrolled in at UniSC

Master of Teaching (Primary)

Q: Name of the town you went to primary school?

Dhaka, Bangladesh

Q: How would you describe yourself when you were in Primary school Years 4 – 6?

I was the shy kid in primary school, but I always had a quiet voice in my head asking, “But why?” after almost everything our teachers taught us. I loved learning about Geography and Science, but somehow was terrible at Science too. But that never stopped my teachers from encouraging me to study towards Science, and here I am today 🙂

Q: Name of the town you went to high school?

Dhaka, Bangladesh

Q: Which were your favourite subjects in high school?

Science, Humanities & Social Sciences, Health & PE

Q: How would you describe yourself when you were in High school?

I was very sporty in high school and loved being outdoors, which was strongly influenced by my school.

Why did you want to become a presenter?

I wanted to become a MindSET-do presenter because I believe science is for everyone. I want to help students feel curious, confident, and included in science, while also growing my own skills as an educator.

What do you like about being a presenter?

I am still quite new to the role, but so far I have really enjoyed interacting with the students and seeing their curiosity come through. I love those moments when they ask questions, share ideas, and become genuinely interested in what they are learning.

If you could offer students in primary school and high school one piece of advice, what would it be?

Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you are not good enough for something you truly love or want to become. Always believe in yourself, and always advocate for yourself.
