Regional Tours
The MindSET-do Primary Regional Tour initiative is an annual 4-day experience providing students in schools in regional/rural locations with the same in-class experiences as those in urban areas.
The highlight of the Arduino coding lessons was when we all held hands and we all had a different role I was the one and ONLY lightbulb it was soo much fun having Miss Whiting as our STEM teacher thank you soo much Mrs Whiting I hope you make it to achieve your goals!
Year 6 Student
The purpose of the MindSET-do Primary Regional Tour initiative is to:
Provide students in schools in regional/rural locations the same in-class experience as those in urban areas.
Provide pre-service teachers with the opportunity to participate in a 4-days experience in a regional location in Queensland to deliver Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) curriculum in schools.
Assist the career development and employment options for pre-service teachers.
Provide opportunities for pre-service teachers to gain further experience teaching STEM in the classroom whilst they are supported at university.
