First Lego League

2023 – After the Fraser Coast Community Robotics Club wrapped up a successful Club in 2023, the students wanted to continue learning, so a MindSET-do Community First Lego League Club was born. Held on Thursdays after school, the students had to learn the FLL processes, rules and regulations, they had to build the robot, the Challenge table and its pieces, develop roles, and design a innovation solution to a real-world problem relevant to the theme for that year. Students aged 9 to 16 can take part in the Club and preference is given to those students who do not have access to coding or robotics as their schools.

2024 – MindSET-do Community First Lego League Club

Expressions of Interest will be asked for students who are interested in participating in a 2024 MindSET-do Community First Lego League( FLL) Club. This Club is completely different to the Robotics Clubs run by MindSET-do as the FLL competition is about TEAMWORK, INNOVATION, and INCLUSIVENESS to name a few of the core values. It is not just about building a robot and coding it, this is only a very small part of FLL. There are specific roles in the team that need to be filled to enable the team to work cohesively, inclusively, be competitive, be professional and to have fun.
